Stavanger is.. really rainy so far. Last night we slept without pillows or blankets, and we still have no kitchen stuff to make food, so for the second day in a row we are eating frozen pizza for dinner. But I am happy, excited and the apartment looks even better in person than on the photos.

i'm cleaning the shuttle. it's MUCH MUCH fun. my sleeves are wet.

i'm pretty much done with the kitchen. i even dragged the fridge and the oven from the wall and vacuumed behind them. AHHH SUPERWOMAN.

kyle is supposed to arrive around 11.30 am tomorrow, and i am going to pick him up from the airport because he'll probably be a bit clueless, really tired (travel time approx 36 hours) and he doesn't have any norwegian money or a debit card; only USD. i should bring one of those notes that say "MR ROGERS" on it. hahahaha.

renate sent me a lovely birthday package with presents in them and it arrived today. i got a necklace, earrings, stationary and other cute things like a memo pad shaped like a frog and a frog figure made of rubber. aeeee, it was a lovely package. i called her up and congratulated her on her 23rd birthday (!!!) and thanked her at the same time. yay, efficient me. ;p

i think i'll wear the frog necklace tomorrow. it's really pretty. :)

Hmmm.

So I guess I decided it was time for a livejournal update.

It's the 18th of December, I am behind with work and christmas presents, but what else is new.

My mother is yelling at me to take Iana out, so I am gonna go do that.

I sorta stopped sleeping and I eat once a day; so much for the new and improved Kari. But, hey, there's always next year, right?

I'm really quite terrible at updating this thing, and I want to be better, I really do, because when I look back at the stuff I wrote a year ago it just reminds me of good times and bad and is also a reminder of how incredibly screwed up my humor is and how amazing I think I can be sometimes.

So I think maybe we got our internet to work. Or maybe not, but at least it works better now. I think. Except for twice when it just went down completely, the second time being really really bad because it took ages for it to come back. I think. Because I was sleeping.

I'm actually quite happy. This internet thing was bugging me; I hate when little stuff like that isn't working (although the internet is a pretty big deal I guess; I have work AND play time on it), but last night when I thought we sorted it out I just felt little spurs of happiness floating through me. It was nice, I mean it's not like I haven't been quite generally happy since I came here, I have, but the fact that things weren't working was stressing me out because it meant talking to the lady and possibly having to get our own connection and bla bla bla. But now that things (might) are sorted out, I just feel pretty darn happy to be here. Sure, it would be nice to have a job and a dispensable income and all that stuff, but hopefully I am getting a big ass pay-check at the beginning of the next month and I think my current money will get me by until then, so it's not like I am crawling in the gutters just yet anyway. Living with Vivian again is definitely much better for me than staying at home, that much is for sure. Even if it is expensive and we only have a short list of things we can both eat for dinner. ;p CHICKEN PITAS TODAY, DARLING?

I'm also quite lucky because Hege is coming over for the weekend on Thursday, and Susanne is visiting on Tuesday next week. Hopefully Vivian's brain won't explode because of all the "Bodøness" in the apartment.

So, we got an apartment. We got the apartment. It's such a nice little place, and while it's small I think we can do great things with it. Not just because we're awesome and all, but because the place definitely has potential.

I just hope I'll get my financial situation sorted before I leave, because if I don't I'm in trouble? Lol. It's not that I don't have money, it's just that they're not here yet. *_* Oh well.

But yeah, I'm excited. Excited about leaving this place and moving back in with Vivian and both of us figuring out what the hell we're doing and what we're supposed to do. It'll be good.

I think this time; we can be better. ;p
